Tips & Practical Guide

Sizes and Framing

Understanding sizes before choosing your print

Each Fine Art print is offered in several standard sizes to adapt to all spaces, from a cozy nook to a large living room wall.
These sizes are designed to be easy to frame with commercially available frames, without the need for custom framing.

Square sizes

They offer beautiful symmetry and a contemporary look. They adapt well to centered or minimalist compositions.

  • 30 × 30 cm → compact size, ideal for small spaces or multiple wall compositions.
  • 40 × 40 cm → perfect balance between discretion and presence.
  • 50 × 50 cm → standard “gallery” size, perfect alone or as a duo.
  • 70 × 70 cm → immersive size, ideal for making a large room vibrant.

Rectangular sizes (landscape or portrait)

Depending on the orientation of the artwork, these sizes offer a dynamic horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait) reading.

  • 30 × 40 cm → compact size, easy to frame and display.
  • 40 × 50 cm → classic balance, standard commercial size.
  • 50 × 70 cm → one of the most common, excellent impact-to-bulk ratio.
  • 60 × 80 cm → generous size for an immersive rendering.
  • 70 × 100 cm → large size, guaranteed "gallery" effect.
  • A0 (84.1 × 118.9 cm) → XL and spectacular size, perfect for a solo hanging or a large space.

Framing Tips

SIGNATURE Edition prints are printed on 200g matte-finish paper, full bleed (without white margin), for an immersive look and natural depth of blacks and textures.

Choosing your frame

The proposed sizes correspond to standard sizes that can be easily found in framing stores, decoration stores, design stores, fine art supply stores, as well as DIY stores or other stores distributing home furnishing supplies.

The prints are designed to be displayed full image, without a mat, to enhance the immersive effect.

Some possible finishes:

  • Natural wood: warm and timeless.
  • Aluminum: modern and sleek.
  • PVC: lightweight and economical.

Each finish is often available in different shades.

Bl.é Art Recommendation: 3D Box frames!

For an even more elegant and professional look, opt for a 3D Box frame (or "floating frame"). This type of framing creates a sense of depth between the print and the glass, giving the artwork a gallery-worthy presentation.

It particularly enhances full-bleed and matte prints by reinforcing the perception of relief and visual immersion.

Glass or plexiglass?

I recommend anti-reflective glass, which protects the artwork while preserving its luminosity and the richness of its nuances. Plexiglass is lighter, but tends to create reflections and generate static electricity.

Matte or full bleed?

The prints are designed to be displayed full image, without a mat, to accentuate the immersive effect.

However, you can add a mat if you wish to:

  • Create breathing room around the image,
  • Adapt a print to a slightly larger frame,
  • Play on a contrast of material or color.
