Freshly unearthed from his sarcophagus, the character stands upright in a pose meant to terrify: he wears a pharaonic *nemes* headdress, his hands outstretched as if to seize the viewer, while tiny insects crawl along his linen wrappings. In the background, a triangular geometric shape evokes the Egyptian pyramids against a mystical, nocturnal violet backdrop. Reimagined through the collection’s naive, minimalist aesthetic, the dread of 1930s horror cinema gives way to a quirky graphic totem—a mythical monster that is as endearing as it is irreverent.

This piece is part of the "Monsieur / Madame" collection (#mmseriesbleart)—a graphic series dedicated to deconstructing major cultural and historical figures. Through a concise, geometric visual language, Éric Blanchot transforms each iconic face into a network of poetic, structured lines. Conceived as a form of "nomadic art"—both accessible and sophisticated—the series is presented here in a unique collector’s postcard format, where the precision of vector design meets the refined quality of a printed object, perfect for keeping, gifting, or displaying.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0884/1933/6458/files/04-Monsieur-IMHOTEP-Monsieur-Madame_Bl.e-Art_Ed.Carte-PostaleCollector-350g_A6_01.jpg?v=1793557234
